Festivals are the highlight of most of our summers. But which one should you go to? At this point they are all looking pretty strong, but none are really standing out at this point as the best bet.
Isle of Wight looks pretty amazing, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are headlining. You don’t get far more special than that. With performances across the weekend including Rudimental, The 1975, Peace, Swim Deep and Biffy Clyro IOW is set to be a great festival. But there are a few negatives- Dappy and Cher Lloyd will be playing and it is during exam times for Year 11. So if you’d rather go see Swagger Jagger than pass your exams, be my guest.
Bestival, the Rob Da Bank festival, too has some great artists. Outkast, Disclosure, Major Lazer and a veritable army of DJ sets will have you dancing into the early hour of Sunday morning. Oh and Foals will be at Bestival.
Now for the daddy, Reading and Leeds. This may be the best best line-up yet. Headliners of Paramore, QOTSA, Blink 182 and Arctic Monkeys are pretty swell but that’s just the beginning. Reading and Leeds is the festival for the music lover with acts ranging from Wolf Alice to Metronomy, Bombay Bicycle Club to Sleeping With Sirens. So, go to Reading and Leeds. It's has something for everyone, and there's still more to come
